In October 2008, The River has sent 8 members to Zambia, southern Africa.  Acting in an ambassadorial role, the group is helping to lay the foundation of a long-term partnership between The River and the Madzimoyo Local Board, which represents 108 villages in the Eastern Province of Zambia, near the town of Chipata.  We are very excited with the partnership’s potential - both to support Zambian communities as they work on positive development impacts, as well as how it can influence the way The River supports and acts out community growth right here at home in Riverbend Terwillegar.  Stay tuned for further news on the partnership, and to get involved, contact us.
