the capital campaign for The River Community Church

This webpage is designed to provide you
with the information you'll need to participate
in this strategic effort.

The River is currently taking two
significant steps into the future:

The first is purchasing a building that will serve as a ministry
centre both for The River and its daughter church MosaicHouse.
The second is moving to a much larger Sunday morning worship venue at Lillian Osborne High School in Riverbend/Terwillegar. We believe that both of these steps will increase the impact of God's ministry through us as a church.

"Opening New Doors" is the campaign to fund these two significant steps and to thereby to enable The River Community Church to continue to expand its world transforming vision.

The campaign will feature 3 significant events:

February 11th - An interactive tour of the new Lillian Osborne high school at 7:30 PM followed by a presentation detailing the vision behind "Opening New Doors".

February 27th - In conjunction with a fundraiser for our youth Mexico team, we'll provide you with more information in relation to campaign.

March 18th - A celebration/fundraising dinner at at our new ministry home "The River Community Centre" at 6 PM. This event will feature a Q and A with Pastor Bruce and the rest of the campaign team. More info coming soon.

"The River in 3G:
The Work of The Church"

This Sunday, we’ll start with a free pancake breakfast at 9 AM followed by the worship service at 10:30 AM. During the service, we’ll unveil some of the exciting things that we have planned this fall at The River including the identity of our social justice event speaker in November. Since it’s also Labour Day weekend, in the message, we’ll talk about the work that God has called us to as a church and the challenge of doing that work in a culture that is often indifferent or even hostile to the gospel. We’ll conclude by talking about The River’s mission and how being a 3G community can help the church regain credibility and make the message of the gospel relevant to our neighbours and friends.
